We're pleased to release the ninth solo album of Go-Betweens member Robert Forster: Strawberries!

The idea, Forster writes in his liner notes, was “to arrive in a town with a clutch of songs, to rehearse, record and mix an album with local musicians over a number of weeks, and then leave with the record done.” In this spirit, almost all of Strawberries was rehearsed and arranged at Stockholm's INGRID studios. Forster collaborated - among others - with Peter Morén (of Peter Bjorn and John).

After the decidedly more sombre “The Candle and the Flame”, this record sees Robert breaking with most of his own conventions. After many acoustic records, Forster is back on electric guitar; the songwriting diverges from the purely autobiographical, singing styles change here and there… long-time fans will be surprised and delighted, and new listeners are most welcome to join the ride.

Available in LP/ltd. red LP/CD/digital formats on all streaming platforms!

Louis Philippe and The Night Mail return with a new captivating record where the songs are once again faultless. Carrying on the journey away from the classic towards the unexpected with new synths and hand claps adding a sense of the abrupt and, with voices calling from the wings, a sense of play and a lack of fear.

The album is available on CD / LP and all streaming plattforms!

Of all the independent record labels of the 1980s, él was the most singular and exciting. él only existed for a few short years and yet paradoxically - given its modest commercial success - was hugely influential. For writer Jonathan Coe, one of the label’s many devotees, él was ‘Britain's great musical secret’.

The Rubens Room accompanies the book Bright Young Things by Mark Goodall (Ventil) the first publication to tell the fascinating story of the music found on The Rubens Room.
The album is available on Vinyl (2-LP) and CD. An exclusive white Vinyl version is available at the Tapete (EU) and Rough Trade Shop (UK)!

Formed in London in 1992 by singer and songwriter David Christian, Comet Gain were originally inspired by early Creation Records, Television Personalities and mod culture. On the upcoming record, Comet Gain are David Christian (vocals, guitar), Ben Phillipson (guitar), Rachel Evans (vocals), Robin Christian (percussion), Anne Laure Guillain (keyboards) and Clientele bassist James Hornsey, with additional vocal, brass and keyboard contributions from producer Sean Read (Dexys, Edwyn Collins, Rockingbirds).

Comet Gain singer David Christian says about “Beat of the Veins”, the first single of the upcoming album: “A fuzz edged stomper with echoes of 60s UK freakbeat and snarly pop bomp from those sweaty ballroom days - a rare occasion of both David (me) and Rachel sharing the microphone to convey the direct hits of the life saving musical adrenalin rushing through your body to hit the heart just when it needs it - to be played loud so your body and soul get the purest benefit of its raw medicine”

The album “Letters to Ordinary Outsiders” will be released on June 6th - preorders are available for CD,  limited pink vinyl and regular black vinyl.
